We are a first generation farm located in beautiful Montpelier Virginia. Owned and operated by Jessie Christ and her mother, Eva Miglionico. Specializing in Scottish Highland Cattle, High Parks, British Whites, Mini Herefords and Highland Crosses. Jessie is also the founder of The Feral Chick Inn specializing in Silkies and other fancy chickens. She is the creator of The Feral Chick Inn Nesting Herbs that are now available to purchase!
Jessie (an ER Nurse) and her mother Eva (a Realtor) share an intense love for animals. When Jessie and her husband Garrett (Military Veteran) purchased land to build their home, Jessie made sure it would have plenty of room to add some farm animals. She enlisted her mother to become co-owners and purchase their first mini bull calf and mini donkey. Since then, it has grown to a herd of 14+ and growing, along with chickens, and guardian dogs.
Jessie's husband Garrett AKA Farm Daddy had NO intentions on getting involved in our farm shenanigans. He has been the muscle behind all of the fencing, building, fixing, lifting and whatever else is needed. Getting a tractor and side by side makes it a little more fun for him! We 100% could not do what we do without him!
Jessie and Garrett have two adorable daughters, Carsyn Rae and Finley Jo. The girls have embraced farm life and love spending time with their cows, chickens donkeys and the Guardian puppies. Carsyn has become the cow whisperer and can get any cow to come to her and socialize. She's an amazing chicken catcher and we do call on her for help rounding up chicks. Finley Jo is connected at the hip with the puppies. When we need to round them up, Finley is the one to call!
Emmy and Sophia are the nieces to Jessie and Eva's granddaughters. Although they don't live at the farm, they spend as much time as possible coming to spread the love! Emmy has decided she wants to pursue being a Vet and we are 100% for that! We love that we can offer them time with these animals so they have the chance to learn what this lifestyle is all about and experience these mini Highlands that we are so fortunate to share!
The Feral Chick Inn was founded by Jessie after she had created a combination of herbs for her chickens nesting boxes. She gave some to friends who raved about them. The herbs have such great benefits such as keeping those pesky pests away, calms chickens & reduces stress leading to improved egg laying. Nothing better than a great smelling coop and happy relaxed chickens! These herbs are now for sale to the public! Great prices too! Shoot us a message if your wanting to order!

We love our herd and are a bit picky as to where they go. Cattle are herd animals and need another cow in order to be happy and thrive.
WE DO NOT SELL BOTTLE BABIES
We believe that babies should be weaned by their dam. We don't bottle feed unless we have no other choice.
All of our cattle are vet checked, wormed and vaccinated.
Cattle need shade, (preferably a shelter) water, good hay/ pasture, and minerals.
It's always a good idea to establish a relationship with a local vet prior to bringing home a new calf.
A chute or head gate is something you'll want to be able to work on your cattle safely.
We are ALWAYS available for questions and guidance. We want to hear from you and keep up with how the babies are growing!
