A little ABOUT US

How it all started...

Jessie (an ER Nurse) and mom Eva (a Realtor) share an intense love for animals. When Jessie and her husband Garrett (Military Veteran) purchased land to build their home, Jessie made sure it would have plenty of room to add some farm animals.  She enlisted her mother to become co-owner of the farm and together they purchased their first mini bull calf Odie and mini donkey Franklin. Franklin needed another donkey friend, and Odie needed another cow friend...and so it began and has now  grown to a herd of 14+ and growing, along with chickens that we have lost count of, and three guardian dogs. Our love for these animals shows in our focus on their quality, temperament and care. Jessie has become AI Certified and both continue to work with some of the best breeders in the US while attending conventions, and gaining hands-on education in breeding, genetics, and herd health. Our focus remains on producing healthy, well-bred calves while maintaining strong breed standards. We are committed to exemplary cattle handling and welfare practices and are BQA Certified.

Our partner farm McIntosh Mini Moo's

Our passion for these breeds drives everything we do.

We proudly collaborate with our friends at McIntosh Mini Moo's located in Loudoun County, Virginia. We are both honored and proud to have been a part of numerous farms starting their journey from the ground up by providing them with the perfect cattle and continue to help mentor them .Your success is a compliment to us!

Our calves can be found at The Stockyard Brewery in Lovettsville VA, A cow Cuddle Farms in MD, The little Red School house, and our neighbors at Sterling Hills Farm which is a venue you don't want o miss the opportunity to visit!!

Together we work alongside trusted friends and fellow breeders to help match you with the perfect addition to your farm. Whether you’re searching for your first mini cow or expanding your herd, we’re happy to guide you every step of the way.

Farm Support

Jessie's husband Garrett AKA Farm Daddy had NO intentions on getting involved in our farm shenanigans. He has been the muscle behind all of the fencing, building, fixing, lifting and whatever else is needed. Getting a tractor and side by side makes it a little more fun for him!  We 100% could not do what we do without him!

The Feral Children

Jessie and Garrett have two adorable daughters, Carsyn Rae and Finley Jo. The girls have embraced farm life and love spending time with their cows, chickens  donkeys and the Guardian puppies.  Carsyn has become the cow whisperer and can get any cow to come to her and socialize. She's an amazing chicken catcher and we do call on her for help rounding up chicks.  Finley Jo is connected at the hip with the puppies.  When we need to round them up, Finley is the one to call!

The Feral Cousins

Emmy and Sophia are the nieces to Jessie and are Eva's granddaughters.  Although they don't live at the farm, they spend as much time as possible coming to spread the love!  We love that we can offer them time with these animals so they have the chance to learn what this lifestyle is all about and experience these mini Highlands that we are so fortunate to share!

    Some tips to consider...

    Some tips to consider...

    Some tips to consider...

We love our herd and are a bit picky as to where they go.  Cattle are herd animals and need another cow in order to be happy and thrive.

WE DO NOT SELL BOTTLE BABIES

We believe that babies should be weaned by their dam.  We don't bottle feed unless we have no other choice.

All of our cattle are vet checked, wormed,  vaccinated, and BVD tested prior to leaving.

Cattle need shade, (preferably a shelter) water, good hay/ pasture, and minerals.

It's always a good idea to establish a relationship with a local vet prior to bringing home a new calf.

A chute or head gate is something you'll want to be able to work on your cattle safely.

We are ALWAYS available for questions and guidance.  We want to hear from you and keep up with how the babies are growing!
